1. Welcome to the FanVids Community
FanVids is designed to be a positive, creative space where fans can connect with their favorite artists, labels, and managers through engaging video and image content. These Community Guidelines help ensure our Platform remains safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.

1.2 Community Standards
By using FanVids, you agree to uphold these standards and help create a positive environment for all users. All community members must be 18 years or older. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and agree to help maintain a mature, respectful community environment.
2. Acceptable Content and Behavior
2.1 Encouraged Content
We love to see:
- Original Creative Content: Fan art, covers, tributes, and original creations
- Live Performance Documentation: Concert and festival footage capturing artists' performances
- Positive Fan Expression: Showing support for artists and engaging with fellow fans
- Constructive Interaction: Helpful comments, encouragement, and meaningful discussions
- Educational Content: Behind-the-scenes insights, tutorials, and informative posts
- Community Building: Content that brings fans together around shared interests
2.2 Respectful Communication
When interacting with others:
- Use kind, constructive language
- Respect different opinions and perspectives
- Give credit where credit is due
- Be patient with new community members
- Report issues rather than escalating conflicts
2.3 Platform Etiquette
- Follow the specific prompts and guidelines for each campaign or activity
- Keep content relevant to the Platform's purpose
- Use appropriate tags and descriptions
- Respect others' intellectual property
- Maintain the quality and spirit of the community
3. Prohibited Content and Behavior
3.1 Harmful or Dangerous Content
The following content is strictly prohibited:
Violence and Threats:
- Content promoting, glorifying, or inciting violence
- Threats against individuals or groups
- Content depicting graphic violence or harm
- Instructions for dangerous or illegal activities
Self-Harm:
- Content promoting self-injury or suicide
- Instructions for self-harm
- Content glorifying eating disorders
- Dangerous challenges or activities
3.2 Harassment and Bullying
We do not tolerate:
- Targeted harassment of individuals
- Cyberbullying or intimidation
- Doxxing (sharing personal information without consent)
- Coordinated harassment campaigns
- Stalking or persistent unwanted contact
3.3 Hateful Content
Prohibited content includes:
- Content attacking individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Hate symbols or imagery
- Content promoting discrimination or prejudice
- Derogatory slurs or language
3.4 Adult and Sexual Content
The Platform prohibits:
- Sexually explicit content or nudity
- Sexual solicitation or propositions
- Adult content not suitable for general audiences
- Content that violates platform community standards
3.5 Illegal Activities
Users may not post content that:
- Promotes illegal activities
- Violates local, state, or federal laws
- Involves illegal substances
- Facilitates illegal transactions
- Violates export control laws
3.6 Spam and Deceptive Practices
Prohibited activities include:
- Spam or repetitive content
- Fake accounts or impersonation
- Misleading information or deliberate misinformation
- Scams or fraudulent schemes
- Manipulation of Platform features
3.7 Intellectual Property Violations
As detailed in our Copyright Policy:
- Unauthorized use of copyrighted material
- Trademark infringement
- Violation of publicity rights
- Plagiarism or false attribution
3.8 AI-Generated Content
Users must:
- Disclose any AI-generated or AI-modified content
- Obtain Sponsor/Festival Operator approval for AI-generated submissions
- Ensure AI-generated content complies with all other community guidelines
- Take responsibility for all AI-generated content as if personally created
4. Privacy and Personal Information
4.1 Protecting Privacy
- Do not share personal information (addresses, phone numbers, financial information) in public content
- Respect others' privacy and consent before featuring them in content
- Be mindful of location information and metadata
- Report any privacy violations you encounter
4.2 Age Verification Compliance
The Platform is restricted to users 18 years and older. If we become aware of underage users:
- Accounts will be immediately terminated
- All content will be removed
- We will implement additional verification measures
- We may report violations to appropriate authorities
5. Content Moderation and Enforcement
5.1 Automated Moderation
FanVids uses automated systems (including AI technology such as AWS Rekognition) to:
- Scan content for policy violations
- Flag potentially problematic material
- Prevent upload of clearly prohibited content
- Identify patterns of abuse or spam
All automated content analysis is conducted on behalf of and as instructed by the applicable Sponsor or Festival Operator as Data Controller.
5.2 Human Review
Our moderation team and Data Controllers conduct human review for:
- Appeals of automated decisions
- Complex or nuanced content issues
- Reports from community members
- Content flagged by automated systems
5.3 Community Reporting
Help us maintain community standards by reporting:
- Content that violates these guidelines
- Harassment or bullying
- Spam or fake accounts
- Copyright infringement
- Safety concerns
- Suspected underage users
How to Report:
- Use the "Report" button on content or profiles
- Email: support@fanvids.io with "Community Guidelines Violation" in the subject line
- Provide specific details about the violation
5.4 Response Timeline
We aim to:
- Respond to reports within 24-48 hours
- Remove violating content promptly
- Notify users of enforcement actions
- Provide appeal options for disputed decisions
6. Consequences and Enforcement Actions
6.1 Warning System
For first-time or minor violations:
- Content removal with explanation
- Educational notification about guidelines
- Opportunity to review and understand policies
- No impact on account standing
6.2 Progressive Enforcement
For repeated or serious violations:
First Violation:
- Content removal
- Warning notice
- Guideline education requirement
Second Violation:
- Content removal
- Temporary account restrictions
- Required policy acknowledgment
Third Violation:
- Account suspension (7-30 days)
- All content review
- Mandatory community guidelines training
Serious/Repeated Violations:
- Permanent account termination
- Content removal
- IP address blocking if necessary
6.3 Immediate Termination
We reserve the right to immediately terminate accounts for:
- Severe policy violations (illegal content, serious harassment)
- Threats of violence or harm
- Underage users (automatic termination)
- Repeat offenses after multiple warnings
- Attempts to circumvent enforcement actions
6.4 Appeals Process
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:
- Submit an appeal to support@fanvids.io
- Include specific reasons why you believe the action was incorrect
- Provide any supporting evidence or context
- We will review appeals within 3-5 business days
- Appeal decisions are final
7. Age Verification and Compliance
7.1 Reporting Underage Users
Immediately report:
- Users who appear to be under 18 years old
- Content that suggests underage participation
- Accounts with false age information
- Any suspected age verification violations

8. Artist and Sponsor Guidelines
8.1 Official Artist Accounts
Verified artists, labels, and managers must:

- Respect fan-created content within copyright bounds
8.2 Fan Content Policies
Artists and sponsors should:
- Encourage positive fan expression
- Respect fan creativity and effort
- Provide clear guidelines for fan content
- Handle disputes respectfully and professionally
9. Platform Integrity
9.1 Authentic Engagement
Users must not:
- Use bots or automated systems to inflate engagement
- Create fake accounts or sockpuppets
- Manipulate voting or ranking systems
- Purchase fake followers or engagement
- Coordinate inauthentic behavior
9.2 Technical Misuse
Prohibited technical activities:
- Attempting to hack or compromise the Platform
- Reverse engineering or extracting Platform code
- Overloading systems with excessive requests
- Bypassing security measures
- Interfering with other users' experience
10. Global and Cultural Considerations
10.1 Cultural Sensitivity
We encourage:
- Respect for diverse cultural backgrounds
- Awareness of cultural differences in communication
- Inclusive language and imagery
- Learning from different perspectives

10.2 Local Law Compliance
Content and behavior must comply with:
